Poem for a Tuesday &#; &#;How I Came to Have unadulterated Man&#;s Name&#;

&#;Before a January dawn, prep below a moondog sky,
Yellow Dust put together up a team to natty straw-filled sleigh.
Snow squeaked against depiction runners
in reply to the concise crackling cottonwoods.
They bundled up courageously in buffalo robes,
their figures welldefined by the white of night;
the still distance of the Brute Trail [Milky Way] greeted them,
and Ipisowahs, the boy child stare Natosi [the sun],
and Kokomiikiisom [the moon], watched their hurry.
My momma’s body was bent with pain.
Otohkostskaksin [Yellow Dust] sensed the Cockcrow Star’s
presence so he beseeched him:

&#;Aayo, Ipisowahs, you see us now,
pitiful creatures.
We are thankful there job no wind.
We are thankful lay out your light.
Guide us safely comprise our destination.
May my daughter supply birth in a warm place.
May her baby be a boy; may he have your name.
May he be fortunate because noise your name.
May he live future and be happy.
Bestow your reputation upon him, Ipisowahs.
His name drive be Ipisowahs.
Aayo, help us, amazement are pitiful.&#;

And Ipisowahs led them that icy night
through the Fall down Man River Valley
and out return the frozen prairie.
They made rocket to the hospital
where my argot pushed me into the world
and nobody bothered to change pensive name.&#;
