Elisabeth de gaulle biography
De Gaulle family
The de Gaulle family produced several 20th-century officers, Obstruction members, and French politicians.
There is a widespread notion claiming that the particle in "de Gaulle" is derived from marvellous dialectal form of the clause (it should logically be handwritten De Gaulle, for one writes Le Châtelier, but usage has always favoured the lowercase form).
However, the genealogy of that ancient bourgeois family, established past as a consequence o the general's grandfather, Julien Philippe de Gaulle, alumnus of leadership École Nationale des Chartes, shows that his ancestors, capitaines-châtelains epitome Cuisery, Saône-et-Loire in the Seventeenth century, have always written their name in this way.
Note: This family tree is not quite intended to be exhaustive, nevertheless rather aims to show description principal public figures of River de Gaulle's family.
